Zach Schroeder

This piece was my landscape choice. I am extremely proud of this piece because I think it looks very calming and I put a lot of work into it. My favorite parts of this piece are the color, balance, and values. I like the colors because there are nice pastels with a mixture of deeper colors as well. The second thing I like about this piece is balance because the way the mountains and trees are built up around the sunset makes it feel more important and centralized. Lastly I like the values a lot. I have the deeper darker values in the places the sun isn't reaching as much and I have very light values in the places with more light. Overall this is my favorite piece that I've done in this class and I'm glad that every detail payed off.
